This is a rare early 19th-century Indian colonial sterling silver large Georgian antique pepper pot by Twentyman & Co. 1818-1829.
Cylindrical form on a pedestal. A domed pull-off lid. Reeded borders to the pot and the lid.
The interior of the pot and lid retains their original gilding (gold-washed). The interior is in clean condition.
Engraved PEPPER and a monogram.
Fully hallmarked.
It is a large and heavy gauge pepper pot, weighing a hefty 164g. The base is not weighted.
