This is a lovely 19th-century (c.1880) English Victorian double folding quill cutter or quill pen sharpener - the slender blades designed for cutting quill pen nibs to shape.
Genuine mother-of-pearl scales.
Nickel silver bolsters. Brass liners and pins.
Antique carbon steel blades, with good springs, both blades snap strongly on opening and closing.
