A rare cased George III c.1797 antique sterling silver and mother of pearl large folding fruit fork.
The silver fork is decorated with lovely Bright-Cut engravings.
The spine is decorated in twisted patterns.
Genuine mother of pearl which has a milky white appearance and is adorned with inset silver rosettes and central carved starburst.
No personal inscriptions or monograms.
The fork tines remain long, indicating they have not been worn much over the years. The silver still has a good thickness to it and is not flimsy.
HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925
