Late 18th-century George III c.1797 antique sterling silver and mother of pearl large folding fruit fork.
The silver is embellished with crisp Bright-Cut engravings, the same engraved motifs continue on the decorated spine.
Genuine mother of pearl scales, with carved reeded patterns, on both sides.
No personal inscriptions or monograms.
The fork tines remain long, indicating they have not been worn much over the years. The silver still has a good thickness to it and is not flimsy.
HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925
