This is a rare early 20th-century (c.1910) Chinese Export solid silver antique snuff/tobacco squeeze-open box by Wang Hing.
Circular form with a hinged lid. Decorated with bamboo engravings on the front and back. The decorations are crisp and detailed.
Hallmarked in the interior WH for Wang Hing, "90" for 90% silver purity.
A lovely stylised monogram on the underside of the lid.
It is a heavy gauge, good-sized box, it feels sturdy and solid, weighing 80.5g. It can be used to store many other small items other than snuff/tobacco.
