Rare Sampson Mordan 9ct Gold Antique Double Folding Pocket Penknife, Chester 1906.
This is a rare Chester hallmarked Sampson Mordan antique double-bladed folding penknife.
9 ct gold scales, hallmarked on both sides.
High carbon steel blades. Both are stamped with what looks like a triple S symbol. They snap strongly on opening and closing. Hinges are firm without wobble.
HALLMARKS: Chester 1906. Fineness 9ct/.375. MAKER Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd
DIMENSION: Length : CLOSED 7.4m (2 7/8"). OPEN with both blades extended 15cm (6") approx.
WEIGHT: 21g
CONDITION: Slight damage to the tip of one blade, only minor.
