This is a very rare late 18th-century (c.1790) Georgian antique silver & tortoiseshell interlocking travelling/campaign cutlery penknife & fork.
George III hallmarked Sterling silver.
Beautifully decorated chased spines. Brass liners.
They can be locked together and released by sliding the inner brass plates.
No personal inscriptions or monograms.
Excellent condition, the hinges on both are sturdy, the blade and fork snap strongly when being opened and closed.
