This is a superb 19th-century (1863) Victorian antique sterling silver lidded & cut glass jar.
Hand-chased decorated lid, with an original antique cut glass container.
The lid is made of heavy gauge silver, weighing a hefty 38g. Fully hallmarked. It has a small screw attached to it.
It has a silver gilt rim, also fully hallmarked.
The glass jar is thick and heavy, with deeply cut patterns.
